Jared Polis Text Exchange
Polis Texts Are Screenshotted Below
Below is a multi-episode text exchange between then- (and current) Governor of Colorado Jared Polis and then-recently former Unity Party Presidential candidate Bill Hammons. Much more might be revealed later, especially if former Hammons friend Polis indeed throws his hat in the ring in ‘28 or otherwise makes further strivings for power within or without MAGA, and most especially if former Hammons friend Polis continues to sane-wash Dictator Donald and/or tries to deny that numerous email and text exchanges over the years ever took place.
What’s the point of all of the below? 1) Polis, at least as of early 2021, wasn’t interested in running for President and more interested in retiring. Politicians are of course human beings and entitled to change their minds over the years, but the perspective below is worth sharing.
And is sharing private two-way communications with a former friend in poor taste? That’s an arguable point, but note the world “former” (when someone ghosts Hammons he’s rarely happy) and, more importantly, when someone goes less than full anti-MAGA when that movement is full-on destroying the great democratic experiment that was the United States of America, all bets are off. (Circling back to the “ghosting” bit: apparently this years-long friendship of sorts was nixed when Hammons dared to suggest, two days after the Capitol Hill riots, that Donald Trump be removed using the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, which, it was later revealed by Casidy Hutchison’s Congressional testimony, was exactly what Trump staffers in Trump’s own White House were thinking). It’s not being implied that Polis is a Fascist, but, for those of you who think that his 2025 buddying up to MAGA figures is merely tactical politics, think again. He can’t be trusted on anything Trump.
One last personal note: As of this writing (mid-April 2025) Hammons is considering applying for political asylum in his birth nation of Germany (Dad was in the Army). Approval of his traditional residency permit is looking far from certain (it’s unfortunate that he couldn’t afford a lawyer to stay on top of the bureaucrats and to make the case for why a poor man should be given the opportunity to bootstrap his way to a new life in a new home base).
And now’s the time to preserve evidence for making a case for political asylum (trading texts with a sitting state governor that ended with a proposal to remove a vengeful once-and-now-again president would certainly be fodder for a pro-asylum argument in a German court of law). In any event, watch out when the founder of the Unity Party of America is apparently all out of options; he has a track record of creating entirely new ones …
